Recently, 18 new products of Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd. have passed the national appraisal. Among them, three of the new products which have passed the national appraisal have reached the international leading level.

 

With domestic high-voltage frequency converter manufacturers paying attention to and increasing R&D investment, breaking through the bottleneck of technological development, domestic brands are gradually replacing imported products.

 

Domestic Inverter Replaces Import Gradually

 

The three products are: BKD-240Mvar/1100kV, the world's first single-phase double-column UHV shunt reactor with the highest voltage level and capacity; OSFPS-JT-1000MVA/500kV, the largest on-site assembled transformer with the largest capacity and the highest voltage level, among the products produced by domestic transformer manufacturers; Machine transformer SSP-H-860MVA/500kV.

 

In fact, the three products of Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd. are the epitome of the rise of domestic converters. As early as 2011, Hekang Frequency Converter actively extended to the upstream and downstream industries. It took part in the new energy from the south, cooperated with Jincheng Coal Group, acquired 70% of the shares of Beixiang, and set up Beijing Hekang Yisheng Electric to occupy the market, optimize the supply chain structure and reduce product costs. At the same time, expand the application base, establish rules, start standardized mode of production to improve inventory efficiency, and use technology threshold and scale threshold to squeeze the market space of non-scale effect manufacturers.

 

Entering the low-voltage field, for Hekang frequency conversion, the opportunity is greater than the risk. It is expected that in the next three years, Hekang frequency conversion Medium-low Voltage and explosion-proof frequency converter sales will continue to grow rapidly.

 

At the annual meeting of China's automation industry held in April 2013, Senlan Inverter again ranked first in China's domestic frequency converter brand. This is Senlan's seventh consecutive award. As one of the earliest enterprises engaged in frequency conversion technology research in China, Senlan constantly brings forth new ideas and leads the market and industry development.

 

In 2012, Senlan launched the third generation SBH series high-voltage converter, which has made substantial breakthroughs in the domestic high-end market and large-scale engineering projects, and gradually established and improved the marketing service network throughout the country and Asia, Europe and the Americas, with rapid progress in international market expansion.

 

According to a power plant denitrification report by Chen Qiuquan, supervisor of Hekang Frequency Converter Company, in 2012, the market share of China's frequency converters was still more than two-thirds of foreign brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB and Oriental Hitachi. Whether in technology, manufacturing, industrial design, or in terms of financial strength, there is a gap between domestic and foreign brands, especially between Siemens and ABB.

 

At present, the market share of foreign-funded brands in China's medium and low voltage frequency converters is basically the same as in 2007, and still remains at about 76%. At the same time, due to the factors such as China's increasing investment in infrastructure projects (the traditional advantages of leading brands in Europe and the United States) in 2008, the industry concentration of the top ten foreign-funded enterprises has improved, especially the leading brands in the industry. The share was further expanded.

 

But it is worth noting that there are about 100 domestic brands in the Chinese market. The manufacturers of these converters are mainly concentrated in coastal open provinces and cities, such as Guangdong, Shandong and Jiangsu. With the advantage of price, Yingweiteng, Yineng, Anbangxin, Zhiguang Electric and other domestic frequency conversion manufacturers begin to occupy more and more market share. Hekang Frequency Converter, relying on continuous research and development, has occupied 13% of the market share in the blockade of foreign brands.
